Privacy
Your setup stays on your PC.
MoniTweak runs on your machine, works without an account, and collects nothing about how you use it. What little it does over the network is there to keep it up to date.
Counts, not people
We keep a rough idea of how many people visit the site and download the app. Those are plain counters, and they are not tied to you.

What MoniTweak keeps, and where
Your presets, schedules, display names and preferences are saved on your own computer, in your user profile. They are yours to back up, move or delete, and MoniTweak never uploads them.
Local logs
MoniTweak keeps a short technical log so problems can be traced when something goes wrong with a display. It stays on your disk, your Windows username is removed from it, and it is never sent anywhere.
Diagnostics, only if you ask
If you ever need support, you can export a diagnostics file yourself. MoniTweak tells you what it contains, and you decide whether to share it and with whom. Nothing is sent automatically.
Over the network
What actually leaves your machine
Only what updates need. MoniTweak asks our servers whether a newer version exists, and downloads it when you decide to update. You can switch update checks off, and then it stops reaching out entirely.
There is no other network feature. No usage reports, no background uploads, no third-party services in the app. If you would rather see it than read it, run MoniTweak with a firewall monitor open.
Website and downloads
Aggregate statistics, nothing more
Knowing roughly how many people land on a page or start a download is what tells us the project is worth continuing. That measurement is deliberately blunt: totals, grouped by day, with no way to single anyone out.
What is counted
- How many times a page was loaded
- How many downloads were started
- A rough country or region
What is never collected
- Your IP address
- Analytics cookies
- Visitor, session or device identifiers
- Browser fingerprints
- Anything about how you use the app
These are page loads and download starts, not visitors, and not installs. Detailed counts are kept for about three months, and only day-level totals are kept after that.
